/// GETTING STARTED / QUICKSTART
Quickstart
Get from signup to managing your first Fleet in under 5 minutes.
s3:ListAllMyBuckets and s3:ListBucket permissions. See the Permissions page for the full recommended policy.Step 1: Sign up
Create a storafleet account at the sign-up page. You only need an email address and password. No credit card is required to start on the free plan.
Step 2: Add AWS credentials
After logging in, navigate to Settings → AWS Credentials and enter your AWS Access Key ID and Secret Access Key. Your credentials are encrypted at rest using AES-256-GCM before being stored — they are never saved in plaintext. See Credential Security for full details on how encryption works.
Step 3: Auto-discover buckets
Once your credentials are saved, storafleet automatically calls s3:ListAllMyBuckets across all AWS regions to discover every bucket in your account. This typically takes a few seconds. You do not need to specify regions or enter bucket names manually.
Step 4: Start browsing
Your buckets appear in the main dashboard. Click any bucket to open the file browser. From there you can upload files, download objects, generate presigned URLs, or inspect storage stats. Explore the sidebar to access global search, cost intelligence, and lifecycle management.
