Cancellation & Refund Policy

Last updated July 2026  ·  Operated by Country Devs LLP, Bengaluru, Karnataka, India

TL;DR — Cancel any time. Monthly plans run to the end of the paid month — no refund, since they're billed in advance. Annual plans: cancel within 6 months for a prorated refund (the months you've used are charged at our normal monthly rate, and we refund the rest). After 6 months there's no refund, but you keep your plan for the rest of the year you already paid for. Any month you've started counts as used. Billing errors are always made right with a credit note.

1. Cancelling or changing your subscription

You can cancel a paid plan any time from Workspace → Billing → Cancel subscription. Cancelling stops the next renewal. On a monthly plan, all features stay active until the end of the current paid month. On an annual plan cancelled within the first 6 months, we issue your refund and access ends there and then; cancelled later, you keep the plan until the year you paid for is up. See refunds below.

After access ends, your workspace automatically downgrades to the free plan. You retain access to the oldest 3 buckets (our free-plan limit) and your data in those buckets. Buckets beyond the free limit are not deleted — they are hidden from the UI until you re-upgrade, at which point they reappear without data loss.

Upgrading takes effect immediately and starts a new billing cycle on the day you upgrade: you're charged the full price of the new plan, and your renewal date moves to one month (or year) from that day. The remaining time on your previous plan is replaced by the new plan rather than credited — so upgrade when you're ready to switch.

2. Refunds

Monthly plans are billed in advance and are not refunded — cancel before the next charge and you simply aren't billed again.

Annual plans — within the first 6 months:

  • Prorated refund. We refund the unused part of the year, but the months you've used are charged at our standard monthly rate — so you forfeit the annual discount for the time you used. In plain terms: refund = what you paid − (months used × the monthly price).
  • A month you've started counts as used. There is no part-month rate: one day into a month means that month is billed in full, at the monthly price.
  • Access. When a refund is issued, access ends at cancellation — we've given the time back, so the plan stops and your workspace moves to Free.

Annual plans — after 6 months: no refund is issued, but nothing is taken away either. Cancelling simply stops the next renewal, and you keep your plan and all its features until the end of the year you've already paid for. At year-end your workspace moves to Free.

Example (Pro at $9.99/mo, annual $83.88): cancel during month 1 → refund $83.88 − (1 × $9.99) = $73.89; after 3 months → $53.91; after 6 months → $23.94. Cancel after month 6 → no refund, and you keep Pro until your year is up. Refunds are issued in the currency you were billed (INR), at the same exchange rate as your original invoice — so the amount can't drift with the market.

3. When we issue credit notes

A credit note is an internal balance that auto-applies to your next invoice. We issue one when:

  • You were double charged due to a billing bug. (We find these ourselves via reconciliation; you don't need to flag them.)
  • There was a service outage longer than 4 hours affecting your workspace, based on our internal incident reports.
  • A refund we owe you can't be returned to your original payment method (for example, the payment is too old for our processor to reverse). We issue the amount as a credit instead, or arrange a transfer if you're leaving — just email us.
  • You downgraded mid-cycle and overpaid. The unused days become a credit.
  • Our sales or support team agreed to a goodwill credit for a specific issue.

Credits never expire and are issued in INR (the currency we bill in). You can see your current credit balance on the Billing page.

4. Failed renewal payments (dunning)

If your payment method declines on renewal day, we enter a 3-day dunning cycle:

  • Day 1: charge retried, first warning email sent.
  • Day 2: charge retried, second warning email sent.
  • Day 3: charge retried a final time, third warning sent.
  • Day 3 + 1h: if still unpaid, the workspace is locked. Your data is preserved; feature access is restricted to the oldest 3 buckets (read-only, matching the free plan's behaviour).

A locked workspace can be reactivated any time by paying. Reactivation starts a fresh billing cycle from that day — you are not charged for the lockout period, and any unpaid invoices from it are voided automatically.

5. Disputes

If you disagree with a charge, email billing@storafleet.com with the invoice number and details. We respond within 2 business days. Do not file a chargeback first — in our experience, every chargeback we've seen was resolvable with a direct email.
