FEATURES / Managed Buckets

/// Managed Buckets

Storage that just works. No cloud account required.

Skip AWS sign-up, access keys, and IAM. Storafleet provisions a storage bucket for you in its own cloud account — hardened, versioned, and encrypted from the first byte. You upload; we meter the storage on your subscription.

/// How it works

01

Create a managed bucket

Pick the managed-bucket option instead of connecting your own cloud storage. There's no account to link and no keys to paste — Storafleet provisions the bucket in its own platform cloud account.

02

It's hardened automatically

On creation the bucket gets versioning, SSE-S3 default encryption, public-access block, and an abort-incomplete-multipart lifecycle rule. The secure defaults are applied for you, not left as a checklist.

03

Upload and pay as you go

Start uploading immediately. Storage is metered and billed through your existing Storafleet subscription, and writes are quota-enforced per plan so you never get a surprise.

Zero setup, zero keys

No AWS account, no access keys, no IAM roles, no bucket policies. Storafleet provisions a storage bucket for you in its own platform cloud account. You just start uploading.

Hardened on creation

Every managed bucket is auto-hardened the moment it's created: versioning on, SSE-S3 default encryption, public-access block on, and an abort-incomplete-multipart lifecycle rule. No misconfiguration to forget.

Versioning already on

Versioning is enabled from the start, so overwrites and deletes don't lose data. You get object history without flipping a single bucket property.

Quota-enforced billing

Each managed bucket is quota-enforced per plan and workspace — writes are blocked at the storage limit, so usage stays predictable. You pay Storafleet for metered storage through the existing subscription system.

14-day soft-delete grace

Delete a managed bucket and it isn't gone immediately. Deleted managed buckets are recoverable for 14 days, giving you a window to undo a mistake before anything is permanent.

Export, no lock-in

You can export the data before final deletion. Outgrow managed storage and you can move your data to your own bucket — managed buckets are a starting point, not a trap.

/// Without Storafleet

You just want storage that works, but getting there means an AWS account, a hardened bucket, access keys, and a stack of security settings you have to remember to turn on.

  • You need your own cloud account before you can store a single file
  • Access keys or IAM roles to create, store, and rotate before anything works
  • Versioning, encryption, and public-access block are off by default — you must remember each one
  • Separate cloud bills to set up, watch, and reconcile against your app
  • Deleting a bucket is instant and permanent — one wrong click and the data is gone

/// With Storafleet

A managed bucket, provisioned for you and hardened on creation. No account, no keys — and you can export your data and leave whenever you want.

  • No cloud account, no keys, no setup — Storafleet provisions the bucket in its own cloud account
  • Versioning on, SSE-S3 encryption, public-access block, and an abort-incomplete-multipart rule applied automatically
  • Quota-enforced per plan and workspace — writes are blocked at the limit, so costs stay predictable
  • Metered storage billed through your existing Storafleet subscription — one bill, no reconciliation
  • 14-day soft-delete grace with data export before final deletion — recoverable, and never locked in

Solo Founder01

Shipping an MVP without touching AWS

You're building a product, not a platform team. Setting up an AWS account, an S3 bucket, IAM users, and access keys is a half-day you don't have. You create a managed bucket in Storafleet, get a versioned and encrypted bucket instantly, and wire your app to it the same afternoon.

Product Team02

Needing storage today, not next sprint

A feature ships this week and it needs file storage now. There's no cloud account provisioned and procurement would take days. The team spins up a managed bucket, which arrives hardened with versioning, encryption, and public-access block already on, and the feature ships on schedule.

Engineer Prototyping03

Starting managed, moving to BYO later

A prototype starts on a managed bucket because it's the fastest path to working code. Later, when you want to run on your own AWS or R2 account, you export the data before final deletion and connect your own bucket — no lock-in, and the 14-day soft-delete grace covers you during the switch.
